My thesis defense!

As part of our requirement for graduation, we need to undergo into a two-term thesis where in the first term is dedicated to research and data gathering and second is for design production. Each student is given a choice to choose from Design, Planning, Theory, Building Technology, Laws and History as their field for the thesis.

For my thesis, I opt to go about planning and design because it interests me a lot and I decided to create a Community Architecture on one of the urban poor communities in Metro Manila. A total of 8 months was spent on info gathering, planning, designing, consultations and weekly crying (haha!!) but with the help of my thesis adviser, Ar. Mia Quimpo with her constantly advising me on my every step, I was able to defend my thesis last August 29, 2014!

Defense Mode!

Overjoyed! I was endorsed by my thesis adviser for graduation!

My Audience, thanks guys for your support!

I had a fair share of praises and criticism, but it is what the thesis is for! There is always room for improvement. Most of their questions tackle more on housing density, which I was able to defend.

Below are my sample renders for my thesis

I would like to thank A+A renders for my stills, Debby Vivo (www.debbyvivo.com) and my classmate Angelo Blay for helping me with post production

Lines and Prints

It's a gloomy Monday morning and I need to go to school to return my toga and to get my graduation pictures from the registrar's office. Everybody hates Gloomy Mondays so I decided to play with prints for my outfit, to at least brighten up my day.

I decided to prioritize being comfortable and being on the go because I'll only be commuting to school. However, comfort doesn't always need to be mismatched clothes, it's just a matter of choosing the right fabric and fit.

For my top, I am wearing a 3/4 sleeves top with stripes, it's one of my favorite pieces in my closet because it flatters my body and it is a timeless piece. I partnered my top with leggings and I topped my ensemble with floral bomber jacket for added drama and glam!

When it comes to mix and matching clothes, I always remember to play with the concept of opposites, i.e., monochromes and colors; big and small details. These help to create focus and composition for your outfit. We want them to see harmony in composition and not confuse them with too much detail.
